Christmas-who, what, when, why, and should we observe it?

Updated: Mar 17, 2023

Who created this holi day observance?

The Catholic Church under the orders and direction of Constantine.

In the 4th century Constantine called for all the Bishops of the Catholic Church to gather in Nicene. In these meetings they altered their religion to meet the demands of Constantine. Upon their completion of merging pagan beliefs, traditions, holi days, and altering the words of God, Constantine then said he was a "Christian" and named it the country's religion of choice. He also made a law called an edict making it legal to observe any and all religions, as during that time Jews were being persecuted and Constantine felt he would loose control over his rule.

We have learned that the Catholic Church, the Vatican, the Pope are the 1st beast of Revelation 13 & Daniel 7 written about in scriptures. The antichrist system.

What was in effect? God's law

Weekly Sabbath, Passover, Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Blowing of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Week of Tabernacles.

What was Changed? and When May 20th 325AD-381AD

During these meetings they created the Nicene Creed,

They changed the Holy days

2. Changed Unleavened Bread to Lent, Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday), Good Friday, and Palm Sunday.
3. Pentecost to Feast of Holy Trinity
4.Weekly Sabbath (Saturday) to Sunday

Catholic 10 commandments:

I am the LORD your God. You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve.
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
Honor your father and your mother.
You shall not kill.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
You shall not covet your neighbor's goods.

The Lord's 10 Commandments:

1. You shalt have no other gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

4. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the 7th day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested on the 7th day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
5. Honor your father and mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
6. Thou shalt not murder.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10. You shall not covet thy neighbors house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife, no his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbors.

Why was God Law Changed and taught?

It was all part of the prophecy. God knows the beginning from the end. Even though he knows what will happen, he doesn't stand in the way of these upcoming events.

(Why, you may ask, because if the Lord were to destroy evil we would not be tempted, we would not make a willing choice to follow the Lord if there were no evil present. Since there wouldn't be a choice, we would not have free will. He allows all these things to happen to build our faith, to give us a choice.)

Satan had it out for the LORD and his people who were faithful due to his pride. His goal was/is to destroy as many people as he could/can. He may still think he has a chance to win as he continues to gain so many people to his side, but scripture plainly says that he will be destroyed with the wicked on the Last Day in the lake of fire during the 2nd death, Judgment day.

The Lord said He would put enmity (H342-eba-Enmity- hatred) between Satan and the woman, between her offspring and his Genesis 3:15 meaning between God and his people against Satan and his.

Man is born into sin. Worldly or ungodly men do not want to keep the commandments. They have enmity towards God Romans 8:7-9

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. John 15:18

Why were the new days to be celebrated called holidays?

The change was made since the original days of the Lords were called Holy Days they made the new religious days holidays. Their version of a Holy day.

Should we observe Christmas and the other holidays not given in scriptures?

Jeremiah 10:2-5 says we should not learn the ways of the heathen, he goes on to say that they cut down a tree from the forest with an axe, stand it up with hammer and nails like a palm tree, and decorate it with silver and gold.

This sounds like to me that the Lord is telling us not to participate in such activities as it is the way of the heathens. This also sounds like the Christmas tradition.

Romans 12:2 tells us not to conform to this world, but to renew our minds and be good and acceptable and perfect will of God. The perfect will of God is to be obedient to his commands as they are perfect, good, and liberty.

Proverbs 14:12 tells us that what man thinks seems right but leads to death.

1 Timothy 4:7 tells us to refuse profane and old wives tales, to exercise godliness. Godliness or righteousness is obedience to the commands of God in our heart and actions which is faith.

Proverbs 28:25 says that a man who trusts his heart is a fool.

Isaiah 55:8 tells us that the Lord doesn't think the way we do.

There are many verses in the Bible that tell us to keep the commandments of the Father. Many that show Christ also kept all the commands of the Father. Some that say we should live as Christ did, in his ways which are by the Father's commands.

But we have accepted and allowed men to manipulate the verses written by Paul, applied context that wasn't present in the writings to give us an excuse NOT to keep the commandments of the Father.

Was Paul an antichrist? Did he preach and teach in opposition to Christ?

Does Paul have the authority to tell us that we no longer have to keep the commandments of the Father?

NO, to all counts. We have to acknowledge that what we've been taught is incorrect.

We have to relearn what context his writings were written in, and what their meanings are.

If you would like to start that process listen to these teachings.
