Salvation-What is it? How do you get it?

Salvation by definition of scriptures is to be saved from the 2nd death, and given enternal life at the resurrection.

The Bible is clear what it takes to gain entry into the Kingdom of Heaven. We must have a circumcised heart, we must obey the law, we must have the same faith as Christ, we must believe Christ is the Son of God, and obey out of love not fear or pride.

FREE in both old and new testaments

Salvation was offered to man from the beginning of time to now. This is not a new concept.
The requirements to obtain it have changed, however. At the bottom are just a few of many scriptures from old and new testament that show salvation was offered to both times.

In the beginning one must Worship the Father only, no other gods. Must obey commands made by God.
One was required to make an animal sacrifice tranferring their sin to it to cover sin every year.

Since Christ came, died, and was raised again we no are no longer required to sacrifice animals. Christ became the curse, the sin for all man past, present, and future. He died and rose again defeating death so that we no longer have to fear the death we deserve (2nd death) for our sins. We still are required to obey.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

This is the free gift, his sacrifice. We do not have to do anything to accept it. We do not have to sacrifice another animal for our own sins. We simply need to accept the Gift from Christ, and obey the Father from our heart with love and appreciation.

The new testament trys to convey to us this message. It says it a couple different ways so that we will understand the message. At times verses will just say law, but it is not intending on every law, just specific ones. If it did mean every law then we can live like the heathen, and still be granted salvation WHICH we all know is not true. There are certain parts of the law that are completed, fulfilled, and are no longer required from us to perform.

Levitical Priesthood: as Christ is now our High Priest

Sacrifical Law/offerings: As Christ is now our Sacrifice for sin

Holy Ghost will guide us to truth if we ask

The message has been altered. It is difficult for most of us to see the true message as we no longer live in the type of society the scriptures were written in. We do not know the customes, the groups, and the traditions that are referenced in scriptures. We are at a loss reading passages with the understanding we currently hold. We try to force what we believe into the verses instead of Praying to the Father to open our hearts and eyes and guide us to His truth. If more of us did that we would have a true revival.

The Bible states clearly to be saved, to be given life eternal and everlasting that we must be obedient from the heart to the Fathers commands. This is stated in the old and new testaments. Those who love the Father will want to keep his commandments out of love.

Our forfathers have convinced us that the Bible tells us we no longer have to follow those commands, and say it is because of Christ sacrifice. This is a false teaching as Christ himself says to be given life everlasting that we are to keep the commandments.

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

Paul says many times that we are to keep the law, the commandments, but he trys to convey to us we should do it from the heart with love, not as the pharisees and sadducees did outwardly only. These are the same groups Christ pointed out as well calling them vipers. These were Jews from the same people as the one that understood and followed Christ in truth. Those Jews and Christ's Jews all kept the law of God. It was how they kept it that mattered.
Keep that in mind as we approach the upcoming religious requirments/laws to be made forcing everyone to observe Sunday as the day of rest, the Lord's day. Remember this message and search your Bible for the verses where the Father told what day to worship him on, and what we are to do or not do that day.

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

There were Jews even back then that were only jews outwardly. They did not have a circumcised heart, did not follow the law out of love, but for status amoung their peers.

I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.

The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
