The Narrow Path, What does that mean?

Updated: Jun 15, 2023

What does taking the narrow path mean?

It means we do not do what the world does. 6 Lane interstate

keeps no rules, no belief in the Father and Son

We do not do what the majority of faiths do. 3 Lane HWY with turn lane

keep some rules, no belief in the Father and Son

We do not do what the majority of "Christians" do. 2 Lane road.

keep some rules, some belief in the rules, beleives in the Father and Son.

We are to keep to the rocky narrow path.

Keep all rules, ingulfed in true belief of the Bible, the Father, the Son.

Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The world does not acknowledge or recognize the Father or the Son, they do not keep the laws of the Father, and do not have the gift of eternal life

The other faiths follow after false gods, do not keep the law of the Father, do not believe in the Father or the Son, and do not have the gift of eternal life.

The majority of "Christians" follow after false doctrines, do not keep the law of the Father, and do not have the gift of eternal life. There are many doctrinal differences, but the biggest and most widely accepted is they believe we no longer have to keep the laws of the Father.

These are all wide gates and paths to destruction. Their punishment for disbelief and disobedience is to be destroyed by hellfire and NOT spending eternity with the Father and the Son.

The WILL of the Father is to keep the commandments as given in the Old Testament. This is what Christ taught, the WILL of the Father, not a new doctrine. The WILL of the Father did not change from old to new testaments.

What is WILL- Matthew 12:50

g2307- thelema, Will; What one wishes or has determined shall be done

The Father's WILL is His Law.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

1Th 4:2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. (Who gave the commandments of the Father)

1Th 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

1Jo 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1Jo 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1Jo 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Jhn 6:36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

Jhn 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Jhn 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

Jhn 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Jhn 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.

And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

The narrow path is those who acknowledge the Father and that His laws as just, pure, righteous, and liberty. Those who believe in them and therefore keep them to honor and obey the Father out of love. They are those who have the same faith as Christ, and believe that Christ is the Son of the Father. They are those who keep the commandments of the Father out of LOVE this is their faith.

for more see these articles:

The Father has a very strick set of rules that He expects His people to willfully and lovingly attempt to keep to be eligible to enter into eternal life.

Yes, eternal life is a FREE gift, and is given to those willing and want to obey the law, rules, and regulations of the Father. FREE meaning we do not have to suffer the second death. NOT free as in we no longer have to obey His rules.

Rev 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (All those who do NOT keep the commandments of the Father are considered liars 1 John 2:4)

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Christ took our punishment; FREED us from the second death which we all deserve. Christ was also subject to the laws. Christ lived his life as an example to show that man can also keep the laws of the Father, the right way, with LOVE in their hearts.

Not as a spectator sport or for show having hatred, resentment, or anger in your heart.

Christ did NOT teach a new doctrine different from the Father's.

Christ spoke only the words that were from the Father. We should want to strive to live as he did.

Jhn 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Jhn 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Jhn 8:25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

Jhn 8:26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

Jhn 8:27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.

Jhn 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Jhn 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Jhn 8:30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.

Jhn 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Jhn 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

The Father is a jealous God, and doesn't want us to serve anyone but Him.

Exo 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Exo 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies

Men have convinced you that since socieity has changed so has the laws of God. That the old and new testament preach different messages. That the Lord Jesus Christ, our savior and Messiah, kept the rules so we didn't have to. That Christ taught a different message than the Father. Or at the very least that Paul taught a different doctrine from the Father and Christ.

This is not the message of the scriptures. This is NOT what it says.

The message is that Christ kept the rules to present the Father with the PERFECT sacrifice so that we do not have to suffer the second death. NOT to allow us to live in SIN which is described by scriptures as breaking the law of God. Left to our own thoughts and actions NONE of us would be granted life everlasting.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

rebellion to the law of God.

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Paul himself kept the law. Why would he keep the law if Christ took the law from us?
This verse is a Jewish man talking to Paul about Gentile converts...

Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.

Paul speaking: admitting that he keeps the law of God

For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

Christ sacrifice did NOT allow us to continue to live life in sin breaking the law of the Father. No Where in the BIBLE does it say that Christ died so we would be freed from obeying, freed from the laws, freed from righteousness.

Christ taught the ways, the laws, the commandments of the Father. This is why he kept all the commandments given by the Father. Christ explained the WILL of the Father isn't just in our actions, but also in our thoughts. He was showing us that is the WILL of the Father. This is what made Him the perfect sacrifice taking our deserved punishment.

Christ blood removes our sins from the view of the Father. From those who walk in the light, from those who are obedient with love in their heart, those who want to and keep the laws of the Father.

This is the purpose of the Saviour.

1Jo 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1Jo 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1Jo 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Man has changed most or removed the Laws, the blind leading the blind into a ditch which will NOT lead to eternal life everlasting, but to total destruction.

Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

We should all reevaluate our lives against the Bible IF we want and expect Life Eternal according to the promise of the Father. We need to also recongize that we ARE to keep the laws of the Father to NOT suffer the destruction of hellfire on the last day. This should not be your only reason to keep the laws, as that was the way of the Pharasees and Sadducess, and they were called vipers. It has to come from the heart. Obedience out of love, respect, and honor to the Father.

faith is by belief and action:

Jas 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Jas 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

Jas 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

Jas 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Jas 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Rom 2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Rom 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

Rom 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

Rom 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Rom 2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

Rom 2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

Rom 2:10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

Rom 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law.

Every person will be judged by their deeds, works, actions. The saved and the lost.

Mat 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Mat 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

Mat 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

Mat 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Mat 13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

1Co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

1Co 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

2Pe 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

If we already have belief in who Christ was, we already feel love and loyalty to Christ and the Father, we now have to gain the faith of Christ and keep the commandments as He did. We have to believe as Christ believed knowing that all the laws are in our best interest, that all are for our own good, and all are required to meet the expectations of a loving Father, and keep them.

There are only 2 paths to walk. The one after the Father and Son, or the one after Satan and his angles.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The only way to Father is to believe Christ is the Son of the Father, carry his faith (Christ's), and keep the commandments of the Father.

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

If you have no desire to keep the laws of the Father that is your free will in action, but just know that this life is the best it will ever get, then you will be burned on the last day for the length of time your sins warrant until you are completely destroyed to ash no longer to exist along with everyone else who refused the WILL (law) of the Father.

Mal 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Mal 4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Do not follow the Blind to your destruction!!

We need to have the desire to find the TRUTH instead of listening to all the generations of false doctrines that have twisted the scriptures and misinterpreted them.

If 1 John 2 says we are live as he lived, walk as he walked, then Paul would NOT preach against that message. If Christ preached the words, the WILL, and Law of the Father, and said his commandments are life everlasting the Paul would NOT preach against that message.

Your understanding is flawed.

Jhn 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

Jhn 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

This verse is a Jewish man talking to Paul about 4 Gentile converts that are with Paul...

Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.

Paul confesses to keep the law himself

For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

We have to accept that we have been lied to. Satan's biggest tool to keep us from Eternity!

Which path will you take?

  • Narrow, keeping the commandments?

  • Broad, NOT keeping the commandments?
